The city of seven hills

Located just two kilometres from the beaches and ports, at the heart of seven hills on a gentle slope, the town of Le Cannet enjoys a panoramic view that stretches from the Lérins Islands to the Esterel mountain range. Walks among the pines, olive trees, mimosa, orange and eucalyptus trees are easy and enjoyable.

Culture and traditions

• The Bigarade Orange Tree
Traditionally cultivated on Le Cannet's land and linked to the city's history, the orange tree has lead to the manufacture of perfumes with its delicately scented flowers. Its fruits help in the manufacture of an excellent jam and a delicious sweet wine called "orange wine”

• The Olive Tree
The fruits of this Mediterranean tree give a fragrant oil that is used in the composition of tapenade, an olive paste with a thick consistency that is enjoyed in the south of France, often with the aperitif.

Heritage

Le Cannet on the Cote d'Azur has a rich cultural and artistic heritage. This includes the chapels of Notre-Dame-des-Anges and Saint-Sauveur (which was decorated by Tobiasse), the St. Catherine Church, the Mur des Amoureux de Peynet (the Lovers' Wall) and Vieux-Cannet (the old town), all of which bear living testimony to this heritage.
